Toku Hottie of the Week

Oh man its been awhile since I did this but hey at least I'm back with another edition of Projekt's Toku Hottie of the Week. Today's lady is... Erika Yazawa

Not gonna lie this Hottie is one of my favorites to see on TV just because I like the characters she plays, and to be perfectly honest I'm pretty sure I have a crush on this girl lol. I'm not even sure what are the reasons why she is on this list besides my personal bias but let's just make some anyway:

1) She's totally cute
2) Multi-talented (working with Idoling!!! and having roles in tokusatsu)
3) I bought her card collection (and got two autographed cards as well as a few special cards in the set #happyprojekt)
4) Did I mention I thought she was cute

The rest just look at the pictures below lol

Just a few things to know about her (thank you wikipedia lol)

-She is a first Year Member of the Group Idoling!!!

Transformers RTS Deluxe Optimus Prime

So it's time for a little treat, here's the first review I ever actually recorded for TAN... though it's the third I'm uploading... funny how things like this happen ANYWAY. The figure I'm reviewing today is the Deluxe Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime, which to my knowledge is an Homage figure to the G2 Optimus Prime. Personally this is by far my favorite design for Optimus Prime. The figure is actually really good overall but does have some... Articulation fidgets... funny how EVERYTHING I review's only bad flaw is with it's articulation. :) Enjoy.

SH MonsterArts X Godzilla vs Destroyah

Recently announced from Bandai Tamashii was SH MonsterArts, Burning Godzilla and Godzilla Jr. Along with that Burning Godzilla is a regular release set to be in November for 7140 Yen. At this time it's unknown if his beam effect will come with the figure, along with that it's expected to come with SHM Zero: Destroyah Aggregate. As for Junior, he's a Tamashii Web Shop Exclusive who's priced at 3200 Yen. As for now we known he's slimmed down, and will scaled to MonsterArts. His accessories known for now is just the Helicopter Miki piloted. Junior will released however as December Web Shop Exclusive, along with SHF Basco...Yah!

SH MonstersArts Burning Godzilla
Release: November 2012
Retail Price: 7140 Yen

Tamashii Web Shop Exclusive: SH MonsterArts Godzilla Junior
Release: December
Retail Price: 3200 Yen

Lots of news and LOTS of Exclusives

So Bandai has been going on an announcing spree in the last few days... and sadly most of it is not good news. We have pretty much all the exclusives lined up from November into December, and they're all head deskingly annoying ones that we've all been hoping for... well except for one which only I'VE been waiting for.

So before I get into the exclusive list, lets go with the normal release list... starting off with my namesake, we have announced the Robot Damashii Sandrock Gundam from New Mobile Report Gundam Wing

It comes out in November and will retail for 3800 JPY

Next up on the list, we FINALLY get a Robot Damashii of the original Lancelot Knightmare frame from Code Geass. Before this the only way to get a normal Lancelot figure wise was the Inaction Offshoot, and some other figures line's I don't remember the names of. No info other than it's announcement has been released, so date and price are unknown. Though unlike the Albion Robot Damashii it'll be coming with properly designed activated and unactivated MVS's, and a Blaze Luminous Shield effect part.

Next on the list we have SIC Kiwami Tamashii Kamen Rider Decade *cringes*. It'll be releasing in Fall of 2012 and retailing for 1500 JPY

And last on the normal release line is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Super-1, bout time we get more Showa Riders in the Figuarts line. It will be coming with all it's fist accessories, and will release in November for 3800 JPY.

So, starting with the exclusives, we have the Monster form of Basco and his companion Sally in S.H. Figuarts form, though Sally is a Zero. He will release December, and will go for 5250 JPY

Next on the list we have the S.H. Figuarts Space suit figure we see in Kamen Rider Fourze... I'm actually surprised we're getting a Show Prop as a figure but whatever. It once again is a December Figuart release and retails for 3360 JPY.

Next up is S.H. Figuarts Gosei Gree- I mean Deka Green. Yeah... Bandai is really getting frustratingly annoying with the Super Sentai figuarts... anyway he'll be releasing again in December for 3675 JPY.

Next up, once again from the S.H. Figuarts line we have the Genosider from Kamen Rider Ryuki. A certain someone hopes he'll be able to split apart, I doubt it. Anyway he'll be coming out in November for.... expensively cheap price of 10,500 JPY.

Next up we have 3 Figuarts, S.H. Figuart Leo Zodiarts from Kamen Rider Fourze, S.H. Figuarts Cell from Dragon Ball Z, and S.H. Figuarts AGP (Armored Girl Project) Cecilia Alcott from Infinite Stratos. All three are November Releases. Cecilia will cost 3150J JPY, Cell will cost 4725 JPY, and Leo Zodiarts will cost 3675 JPY.

Lastly we have S.H. Figuarts Cure Sunshine Super Silhouette and Super Robot Chogokin Black Might Gaine (tentative name till I can find the actual one... blame darkon) Both are December Exclusives. Black Might Gaine will cost 5040 JPY while Cure Sunshine Super Silhouette will cost 4410 JPY.

New info on the upcoming Dragon Ball movie.

So this years 33rd issue of Weekly Shonen came out in japan and now we have new info on the upcoming Dragon Ball movie. It's set to take place between the 517th and 518th installments of the original Manga made by Akira Toriyama, specifically set in the "Lost Decade" of the story after the defeat of Majin Buu. Kuririn, Piccolo, Vegeta and other characters will be showing up in the movie and it's not a spin off but part of the actual story.

All info was obtained from AnimeNewsNetwork

Kamen Rider Home Security?

So appearancely Daiwa House (A pre-fab house building agency in japan) decided that the best people to have for home security is none other than Tokusatsu's Legendary 7 Riders as this funny little japanese commercial shows:

I personally find this commercial to be hillarious, what do you all thing?

Ranger Key Series: Ranger Key de Ayatsure! Super Sentai Robo Picture

Looks like we finally get a look at the mysterious item AmiAmi posted a few nights back. When I first saw the listing I thought it was going to be Bascos trumpet cause of the possible rough translation it seemed reasonable to think so. However rumors floated around saying that this was going to be some kind of "cockpit" designed roleplay device and in some way it was right. It is indeed a cockpit designed toy but instead of a Gokai Darin or something similar designed you literally put ranger keys into it.  Personally I think its really weird and I would have preferred a Darin but oh well. It will be coming with a metallic Akaranger key and it will be released in November.

Tiger and Bunny booth at SD Comi-con

So at the San Diego Comi-Con blue-fin had decided to show off a whole slew of Tiger and Bunny figures that are apparently going to be coming to the states sometime in the future. Hopefully this is true, because it'll make importing these things no longer necessary, especially if they show up in Toys R Us.

All images and info comes from GundamGuy's figure blog.

Kamen Rider Wizard Toys

The First Scans of the Wizard toys have finally been revealed. So lets get this started.  These toys are set to be released in September. The DX WizarDriver is Kamen Rider Wizard's main henshin device and to start the henshin it will say, “Shyahadobi, touch henshin”  and "Patch Magic Touch Go!” to replicate when he is about to use abilities. Wizard’s rider kick will be called ‘Kick Strike’.  According to this scan it looks like the ring holder on the side of his belt will be released separately which is dumb.  Wizard's belt kind of reminds me of Kuugas except instead of just waving your hands around it you need to wear a ring and I think you hold on to it.

http://www.tokunation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2655&d=1342099742

The DX WizarSwordGun is Kamen Rider Wizard's main weapon; It has two modes which are a sword and a gun. This weapon comes with two rings Hurricane and Land so they he can become Hurricane and Land Styles. To initiate the finisher for the gun mode it will say  "Kyamono Shooting Shake Hands"  and for sword mode it will say, "Kyamono Slash Shake Hands."

http://www.tokunation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2654&d=1342099742

We also have scans of the DX WizarDragon and Machine Winger. The bike will be able to combine with the dragon to become Winger Wizardragon and that can become the Hissatsu Kick. This will be released in November.  Also in this scan the new regular action figures similar to the WFCs, OCCs, and the FMCS, and they are going to be called WAPs or Wizard Action Please. These will be released in December.

We also got scans of the first six ring sets and a sneak peak of Wizard's Powered flame form. The Sets pictured are DX Flame Dragon Wizard Ring Set, DX Hurricane Dragon Wizard Ring Set, DX Water Dragon Wizard Ring Set, DX Wizard Ring Set 01, Set 02, and Set 03.

http://www.tokunation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2652&d=1342095319

Kamen Rider Wizard will also have animal friends called Plamonsters who supposedly represent some kind of minipla/ model kit kind of thing. The first three that are shown are Red Garuda, Blue Unicorn and a Yellow Kraken.

SDCC Bluefin Tamashii Part 2: Megaman

Bluefin has announced more new figures in the D-Arts line.  We see here Sigma, Dark Zero, and Vile/ Vava's battle suit.  Its great that they are making more figures from the Megaman francise and especially the main villain of X which is a nice touch.  I can't wait to see what else is in store at SDCC.

SDCC Bluefin Tamashii Part 1: Dragonball Z

SDCC has struck with its amazing announcements! Starting off is the Bluefin Tamashii, releases of the Dragonball Z SHFs. In these display pics we get to see newly announced characters to join the SH Figuarts line. First off is Krillin, with wife Android 18 and Frieza, the supposed Strongest Warrior in the Universe.
Next up is more displays to promote the upcoming Perfect Cell. In this case it's a display of games hosting SDCC SHF Gohan charging his ki while Cell prepares for possibly the Kamehameha Wave.
Last off we get to see the infamous "It's Over 9000!" scene. Displaying Normal Goku, Saiyan Saga Vegeta and Nappa without armor. We're also confirmed the Scouters will be maybe removeable, and Vegeta will have a 'Crushin' Grip' hand with destroyed Scouter.

SDCC Super Mega Mode Power Rangers

http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/s720x720/309364_477644585596695_375746931_n.jpg
SDCC has thrown another exclusive and this time its Power Rangers related.  We have seen pictures of the Super Mega modes before and supposedly they were going to be released in a future wave of the 4 inch Samurai line.  However before this announcement we had no idea what exactly was going to happen with the next wave of figures.  Turns out they may just end up as this exclusive set at SDCC.  This set contains all 6 Super Mega Figures and they come with Super Mega Blade accessories as well as their cockpits.  They are also treated with supreme paint jobs so that look more screen accurate. The only weird thing about this set is that it contains the Mega Shark Mode but no Sharkzord accessory to go along side it. No news on their price as of now and so far it looks interesting.

New Gobuster Mecha and Super/Battelizer Form

Recently some new toy pictures have been spotted on the net and they include a look at a new Go-buster Machine and some kind of power up/ battelizer attachment for the morphin brace.  The new mecha is some kind of new main mecha that replaces Gobuster Machine CB-01 and its called LT-06 Tategami RaiOh. It can transform into some kind of lion motorcycle hybrid. Also it can combine with the Rabbit and Gorilla to form Go-buster RaiOh or by combining with the Stag Buster/ Beet Buster mecha as well to become Go-Buster King. So far it looks interesting but I will need to see it in action before I decide if I like it or not. As for the power up attachment it will be used to turn into Go-Busters Powered Custom form and I think it looks interesting so far.  The power up attachment itself looks kind of ridiculous as it just looks like they added glasses on top of the original glasses but seeing as that's the theme this season I can't really say much.

SHFiguarts Zodiarts Leo Exclusive November

Another one of the Zodiarts has been announced and this time its Leo the second in command to Sagittarius. He is set to release in November with the price of 3675 so get him from your favorite middleman.  Personally I really dig this design so I may need to get him.   With this announcement that makes four of the 12 Horoscopes to be released and the only one missing from the Main Villain Cast is Sagittarius.

Top 10: Americans in Anime

With today being the Fourth of July and the fact it's the day America was born, let's look back at all the random Americans in Anime! All these Americans are usually sterotyped as blondes, althetic jocks, and badasses with attitudes or just carefree personalities. They're just so random it's completely funny as hell! .... PS ~ Don't Truely Take This Top 10 too, and I stress TOOOOOOOO Seriously!

10. Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Bandit Keith

The American Duel Monsters Championship, that's become well a lost soul and lost cause. Keith a liar, a cheat and plain out dirtbag. He's become a popular mainstream joke, greatly due to Little Kuriboh's Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series. Where on the Abridged Series he can't go without saying "In America" at the end of all his sentences or the fact in Kuriboh's world he's actually a Canadian. So when all comes down to this Keith makes it in at #10 because he's all about being "In America"!

9. Death Note's Ray Penber & Naomi Misora

Tied for #9 are the Death Note lovers, Ray Penber and Naomi Misora who died in their battle with Kira. These top ranked FBI Agents were the first sent on the case to discover Kira's identity and bring him to justice. Ray is killed when Kira/ Light confronts him to discover his identity to then lure out the other main FBI Agents in the Kira Case. Soon after his murder, Naomi comes seeking revenge by joining L's team only to also meet her death by the hands of the Death Note. Both of these characters make together on the list for the fact they were lovers and engaged; along with how they were plot points in discovering how truely Kira/Light's intelligence was at being a Shinigami!

8. Dinozaurs' Rick

Rick is a cowboy from the west, who lived with his grandfather and once watched over two fossils that turned out to be two of the three Cerazaur Brothers, before finding the lost brother. Throughout the series, he becomes close to the Cerazaur brothers, even being accepted as their "fourth brother." He mangaes to sneak into this Top 10 at #8 due to the fact Dinozaurs barely ever got to see the light of day, and when people do remember the show they most remember Rick's pals the Cerazaur Brothers. So as always having the power in corner proves to be an advantage.

7. Digimon Adventure 02 the Movie: Supreme Evolution!
The Golden Digimentals' Willis/ Wallace

Digimon's Movie exclusive character that actually had two Digimon, Terriermon and Kokomon. He was forced to battle Kokomon when was infected and digivolved into Wendigomon. Eventually he met up with the other DigiDestined where he lead them to where Wendigomon wants him to go, the family summer home in Colorado and realized he needed to be stopped. Willis or Wallace which ever you perfer made it at #7 just because he had the amazing Terriermon as his partner. Terriermon with his wonderful evolution into Gargomon, who came with giantic Gattling Arm Cannons.

6. Mobile Suit Gundam Wing's Duo Maxwell

Coming in at #6, the pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe from Gundam Wing.  Duo is cheerful, amicable and goofy, but this is mostly a front to cover up his tragic past. He's the sole survivor of the "Maxwell Church Massacre" and because of all the destruction in his past, he refers to himself as the "God of Death". Duo an amazing pilot and great character, who's able to deal the most damage to Heero Yuy within the first 5 epiosdes. Along with that like Heero and Wufei he also got another Gundam, the badass Gundam Deathscythe Hell so that means he's just as great as Heero!

5. Tiger & Bunny's Barnaby Brooks Jr.

Like Rick from Dinozaurs, the "Super Rookie" forced his way on to the listing at #5. Barnaby Brooks Jr., who is nicknamed "Bunny" because of his armor's earpieces and his penchant for long jumps and kicks, from the hit series Tiger & Bunny. Partnered with Wild Tiger, he has the same power, though Barnaby relies more on strategy than outright brute force. His successful partnership with Kotetsu would lead Barnaby to rank first in Hero TV's rankings, earning him the "King of Heroes" title in his debut season.

4. Street Fighter II V's Ken Masters

Ken Masters the emtremely rich son of the Master family and best friend to Ryu. He's skilled martial artist, who knows of the spiritual energy called Hadou. Like the video games he knows the Shoryuken and Hadou Shoryuken aka Hadou Shoryu. This "Street Fighter" makes it on this list at #4 due to the fact he doesn't do much in this series except find ways to get Ryo, Chun-Li and himself into trouble. The best thing he does in this entire series is hit on and get engaged to Chun-Li, only to later on battle for his life against Vega; who stalks Chun-Li upon then their visit to Barcelona!

3. Mobile Fighter G Gundam's Chibodee Crocket

At #3 the pilot of the Gundam Maxter, representative of Neo-America and the Shuffle Alliance's Queen of Spades. Chibodee grew up in New York City, lost his mother at a young age and was forced to fight for his life where he eventually became a great boxer when going the Neo-America Space Colony. He made the list at #3 for the fact he's a BOSS, a Boxing Champion who follows the American Dream and has a team of bitches at his side. His wonderful cheerleading hoes, Shirley, Janet, Bunny, and Cath, also double as his pit crew. He even says that they're the only "Protection" he needs. Hell he is Gundam's verison of Gary Oak!

2. BeyBlades' Max Tate/ Mizuhara

Half American and Half Japanese, Max of the Bladebreakers or in G-Revolution the All Starz was an upbeat carefree, fun loving kid. He grew up with his father in Japan selling Beyblades as his mother researched them in America. He's a top ranked blader, whose speciality is defense style with his amazing Bit Beast, Gamera .... uh, I mean Draciel. Anyways Max makes the list at #2 for the fact he's a kick ass kid that can beat you in a game of spinning tops, while being able to make better ones you can't even afford.

1. GaoGaiGar the King of Braves' Swan White

Finally at #1 the American GGG operator and Dr. Leo Shishio's assistant. Swan speaks several languages, has some skill in martial arts and dresses skanky when she's off the clock. She holds the "Key to Victory" which is her red pendant which unlocks GaoGaiGar's true potential. Swan White is No.1, for the fact she randomly speaks broken engrish, dresses skanky and her brother was the ideal choice for Mic Sounder's personality! What else is Swan supposed be, other than a sex symbol?!
